Geshe Phuntsok Lekmon entered Drepung Losaling Monastery in 1995 where he engaged in an extensive study of the Buddhist scriptures which focused primarily on the five great canonical texts. He then received the degree of geshe in 2015 and went on to study tantra for one year at Gyudmé Monastery. After finishing his studies at Gyudmé, for two years he taught the subjects of history, grammar and poetics at Sarah Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies. In 2019 he joined LRZTP where he teaches Tibetan language and Buddhism in LRZTP programs.
