A self-described linguistics geek and former LRZTP student, Alex studied Modern English Literature and Language in UNAM (Mexico) – where he specialized in the study of linguistics, translation and literaty criticism. After earning his BA, he entered the editorial world to explore his passion for language, writing, and communication. He also volunteered in the FPMT for some years, working as Thubten Kunkyab’s study group coordinator in Mexico City, and interpreting for teachers such as Ven. Robina Courtin and Geshe Thubten Soepa. After graduating from LRZTP, Alex has continued his training by interpreting for Geshe Ngawang Sonam in Australia, Geshe Lobsang Kunchen in Colombia, and Ven. Chamtrul Rinpoche in Dharamsala. Influenced by the living example of his gurus, and his experience in LRZTP both as a student and a teacher, Alex aspires to help students make their experience of studying as joyful as possible.
