LRZTP Pilgrimage to Tso Pema

Having celebrated the Tibetan Losar the students and teachers of LRZTP 10 went for a weekend pilgrimage to Tso Pema (Rewalsar) to dedicate the New Year to Guru Rinpoche and to pray for the success of the program.

The pilgrimage happened on 6-8 March 2026 and the majority of students as well as many teachers took part in it. The school also made donations in the holy places for the sake of all students and teachers of the program.

On Saturday morning the whole group went up to the caves of Guru Rinpoche and Mandharava to pray and dedicate merit. Later we also visited the small cave where the footprint of Guru Rinpoche has been preserved, and a small nunnery nearby. Some students stayed in the caves and offered pujas, others drove down to the town and still others went on foot to visit the main Guru Padmasambhava statue in town. The rest of the trip was devoted to visiting local monasteries and accumulating koras around the holy lake.

The pilgrimage was also a great opportunity for the students and their Tibetan tutors to bond and practice Tibetan.
